Another Holiday Over
This was a very quick one in Malmo in Sweden and Copenhagen.
Both beautiful places, both incredibly cold with 0C the warmest while we were there.
We did manage to go ice skating once, we also got to see the Little Mermaid at Copenhagen.
There are some very beautiful old buildings over there and we enjoyed walking about.
I'll leave you with a few photos from my lovely new digital camera (one of which is deliberately in B&W).
Photos are of myself and Lynn skating in Malmo, The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen and a couple of the buildings in Copenhagen.
Highlight of the trip for me, watching the ducks slip and slide all over the ice on the water at one of the parks in Malmo. They wouldn't make good skaters!

Still here
Hello everyone,
Happy New Year to you all.
We've not done anything over the Christmas, New Year period. I worked over that time and we only get New Years Day off here so I was back at work on the Friday.
We've got a holiday in Malmo and Copenhagen coming up at the end of this week. We fly out at 6am on Thursday morning which means we will miss the Man City FA Cup replay the night before. Never mind it is on tv and we'll only lose anyway.
A terrible 4-0 loss today and a gap opens up. We're in trouble because we are drawing too many games.
My Sunday League side won their County Cup Quarter Final today 3-1, so we are through to the Semi-Final. That is good news.
We play another Cup quarter final in 2 weeks and are playing against Dion Dublins brothers - one of whom is the spitting image of Dion Dublin.
It wasn't the best of games for me today. I got booked for the first time in my footy career for an accidental trip on an opposition player. I've done loads worse before deliberately and got away with it.
I got a boot in the head (see photo attached of a nice little shiner which has since got worse), and I had a shocking two-footed challenge done on me which was blatant and I thought I had broken my left ankle. It looks like it is just bad bruising at the moment fortunately.
Lynn was at the game and she wanted to go on the pitch and attack the guy that did it to me.
talking about Lynn she has admitted her first thought was "Oh no, I'll miss the Chelsea game as I'll be down in the A&E with Bernie".
Sunday League footy has been good this season excluding todays game.
Might be going to see The Whalerider tomorrow as it has made it to Leicester for one day only.
I hope all is well everywhere else.
Have attached a photo of Felix relaxing after Christmas dinner.

Happy New Year !
Hi everyone,
great to hear you're coming home Joseph and Danie. The year will fly by for sure :) We've just got back from 4 days in Carterton at my parents holiday home, weather has been fantastic, Bianca, Damon and Paul are all sickeningly brown, while I'm reduced to my inherit kiwi pastiness :( Anyway more pics from our december tripping around attached, Joseph can you do the crop thing for us again?? The pics are of Taranaki Falls on Mt Ruapehu, Me on muollo mountain and Damon asleep trying to watch Shrek in our Flatmate Roly's room.
Hope you all had a great New Year :)

Happy New Year! and Homeward Bound
We're very excited to be able to say that we have booked our tickets home (for good)!
We're planning to do a fair bit of travel in Europe, the States, South Africa and Australia on our way back.
We fly into Auckland from Sydney on Dec 14th and then will make our way down (probably by car) to good old Wellers. So be seeing you all a few days before Christmas - as Homer would say "woohoo!". It does seem a while away at the moment but I'm sure the time will fly by.
In our recent weekend in London with Bernie we went to see a couple of musicals - 'Chicago' and 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'. Joseph (the musical) was weird but very entertaining - apparently Lynn sang along to all the songs as she has seen it a number of times. Unfortunately we weren't sitting with Lynn and Bernie as we bought the tickets at the last minute.
Also unfortunate was that I forgot to take any photos of Bernie - he has had quite the makeover I must say.
We have had the time off between Christmas and New Year and are back to work this Monday - bummer.
Hope everyone had a good break and we will be counting down the days until December.
Love J & D.
