Damon is now over it, and hopefully he doesn't have any scars. He was pretty good really and didn't scratch too much. Unfortunately Anna has now got them and is not having a good time of it.

Otherwise things are good here. I'm just very busy at work and with the soccer season beginning this Saturday I have no free time, so sorry for the lack of e-mails & news from me.
Hopefully things should quieten down in the next few weeks.

Bye for now

How are the spots?
Is Damon scarred for life? Hope he didn't pick them... Have the Rayners caught it yet?!

I'm waiting for photos to be posted here of J's Birthday. Come on Joseph, I hear you were a bit tipsy?!

They've offered me a promotion at work to Head of Service which is exciting, and the Unions filed our claim yesterday for an employment tribunal, so it's all a bit hectic at work.

Bernie has a bad tooth and can't get into see the dentist for a week, good old UK NHS.

I go to the US in a month. Woohoo.

Clocks go back tonight (daylight savings) so hopefully it'll get nicer here. Roll on some sunshine.

Felix says hi to everyone.

P.S. Nice hamster!!

Happy Birthday Joseph!
Hope you had a good one :) Just think, the next one will be in NZ :) We're thinking of you all while we enjoy the few days of summer that we've had this year!

We're still working hard and getting back into the football swing of things. Damon has chicken pox poor blighter! We're taking him to Te Papa and hopefully the swimming pool if he's spot free on the weekend :) Bianca seems more and more like a teenager every time we see her....very scary :)

Anyway hope all is well with everyone :)

I love supporting Leicester...
...Cos it's never dull.

I see the story has made it to NZ...seeing as it's front page practically everywhere. 3 of them are in clink all weekend. Good job we haven't got a game eh?

Went up to Bridlington today for my step mums burial. At least dad can have some closure now. How did Frank's funeral go?

Work is still mad and the Unions are taking them to court for unfair dismisssal. The council are meeting with us nxt week to discuss new contracts, but I also have a job interview the week after so am keeping options open.

Other than that not a lot to report. Except I got another new hamster. Any ideas what to call it? What's Maori for "stupid"?

Have the floods gone over there? And is Mary getting big?! And hope Tony's Birthday goes well

All hail LOTR
The Darkness ?? - well dodgy. I bet they were good in concert though.

Missed Peter Jackson's acceptance speech as someone didn't tell me he was on the telly.
Whilst on the subject I did find this link. Pretty cool to have your name against the greatest movie trilogy of all time, I think.

Catherine (and/or Mary) might be interested to know (but probably not) that we saw Luke Perry (of Beverly Hills 90210 fame, of course) live in a play on the WestEnd. We went to it last week with B & L. Very exciting - well kind of exciting anyway.

Hope everyone is well back in NZ. Will be calling on the 7th.

Til then..

Ciao.

J & D xx

Name some famous Belgians...
Hi all

Spent the weekend in Brussels with my mate Caroline at her dad's place, and went to see the Darkness whilst we were there.

This is the Mannequin Pis or somehting that all the locals call the pissing git in English.

Here's a couple of photos from the weekend.

Here's the Catholic Cathedral which is beautiful

Unfortunately I have come back with the lurgy and have flu, so am staying in bed for the rest of the week!

"Bon soir Bruxelles, Nous sommes Le Darkness!"

Hope all is well over there and the floods have subsided? Snow was bad up at mum's last week but Leicester has escaped it as usual.

Lynn
